BlackBerry Theme Studio 6 'Gold' Now Available!

Good news for theme developers as the Gold release of BlackBerry Theme Studio 6 is now available for download! BlackBerry Theme Studio is a free and powerful device personalization suite of tools that includes the Theme Builder for creating themes, and the BlackBerry Composer for creating animations and graphics to use in themes.

This new release of Theme Studio makes it even easier for users and professional designers to customize virtually everything, including backgrounds, sound effects and ringtones, icons and menus, and fonts. You can even add animations and screen transitions. Among the exciting new features are:
A new user interface for Theme Builder that lets you click on any item on the preview and directly edit its settings.
The Background Wizard that makes it easy to add dynamic wallpapers to your theme.
New productivity features that allow you to batch update all of the graphics in a theme automatically and also change fonts across multiple phone screens automatically.
A new export option that makes it simple for professional designers to offer themes through BlackBerry App World.
Support for the BlackBerry 6 devices, including the new BlackBerry Torch and BlackBerry Style smartphones, and new BlackBerry 6 UI elements like the graphic context menus.
Theme Studio continues to be compatible with popular graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Corel Paint Shop Pro. If you decide to create a theme of your own, be sure to share it with us in the BlackBerry Themes Forum.

Twitter 2.0.0.11 Official For OS 5 & OS6

Change Log:
Redesigned Nav Bar
The Nav Bar has a whole new look with simplified icons that provide a cleaner layout and a more familiar Twitter experience. With a single click, you can quickly access your Home Timeline, @Mentions, Messages, Lists, perform a search from the new Single Search Screen, or submit a tweet with the new “Compose Tweet” button accessible from anywhere in the app.

New Compose Tweet Button
The new “Compose Tweet” button in Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones 2.0 is a single touch-point for creating new tweets from anywhere in the app, making it easier than ever to share your location (if setting is enabled) and photos with your followers.

Single Search Screen
With the new Single Search Screen in Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones 2.0, you can search for tweets, tweets nearby, people, as well as go-to @users all from a single location. From the new Single Search Screen, you can also view Trending Topics and Saved Searches – unifying the entire Twitter Search experience.
Another great feature for BlackBerry 6 users: Twitter Search works with Universal Search on your BlackBerry smartphone. Search for anything, and Universal Search will pull in relevant results from your entire BlackBerry smartphone, including all Search categories within Twitter.

External Notifications
A new application header notifies you when you receive other types of messages, like BBM messages or email, as well as displaying your network connectivity while in the Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones app – meaning you no longer need to leave the application in order to discover the types of new external notifications you have.

New Black/Chrome Color Scheme
The color scheme throughout the app has been updated to be consistent with the look of the Twitter brand.

Leaked! OS 6.1.0.50 for Blackberry 9810, 9860, and 9900

OS 6.1.0.50 for the 9810, 9860, and 9900

After hearing the news that OS 6.1 would be renamed and released on devices as OS 7, we wondered how many more builds we'd see of the 6.1 variety... The answer: at least one more! You can now download OS 6.1.0.50 for the devices codenamed "Jennings", "Monza", and "Dakota". Take note of the different model numbers being used in these releases as opposed to the last ones...

While none of the devices listed are officially released yet, we know there are some pre-release versions floating around in the wild that may need a fresh OS to load up. In addition, hybrid nation will certainly appreciate some new files to play with. Last but not least, this OS comes with the newest versions of many of the core applications. We expect OTA's to be available shortly!
