It has been rumored for a while but it has finally hit. Now from AT&T you can respond to or forward your voice mail through text, email, or voice. As well as receive them in a text or email, or both! The company that will be powering this is Nuance, the same company that makes the voice dialing service for our beloved blackberry's.

Official 4.5.0.181 for the 8300 from Globul

To be completely honest, I'm a bit surprised carriers are still releasing updates for the 83xx series devices. I know that sounds completely odd coming from a guy that still uses an 8320. But a carrier in Europe named Globul has released OS 4.5.0.181 for the 8300. I can't see much more happening with the 83xx series.

Official: OS 5.0.0.351 for the Bold 9700

A week ago OS 5.0.0.351 for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 was leaked. Tonight, Rogers has officially released this OS version. Word on the street is that there still may be one or two small issues. None the less, this should distract anyone with a 9700 who doesn't already have it installed for a bit.

9630 4.7.1.65 made official by CBeyond

Member ChrisColeman, just let us know that the carrier CBeyond has made 4.7.1.65 official for the Tour. Still not an official 5.0 but yet it is still higher then Verizon and Sprint and whoever else is carrying the Tour. Then again, I have no idea where the CBeyond carrier is based out of. Either way, if you want a higher 4.7 OS on your Tour, you can now install 4.7.1.65.

eBay App Now Available From Blackberry App World

Have you ever wanted to look for an item on eBay while on your Blackberry? I know I have and it is kind of a pain doing it from the Blackberry browser. Well now thanks to Research In Motion you don't have to.

Research In Motion has finally released an eBay app that allows you to search, watch, and bid on your favorite eBay items. The interface is pretty nice and simple to use which is always a good thing. Just a quick comment though, this app is still technically in the beta stage so there might still be some bugs floating around.

Free Official Last.fm App Launched

Great news for anyone who is a fan of the internet radio and music community website Last.fm. They have officially launched a free BlackBerry application.

With Last.fm for BlackBerry you can:

* Stream Last.fm radio and scrobble on the go
* View similar artists, events, tags, bio and top fans of the artist you’re listening to
* Love, skip and ban tracks


Unfortunately it doesn't look like they have support for all BlackBerry devices right now. The app is only available for the Bold 9000 and Curve 8900, and you must have a Last.fm account.

Telstra Australia Joins the List of Carriers To Launch the Blackberry Bold 9700

Thats right, good news for our users Down Under as Telstra Australia has released the Blackberry Bold 9700. Now for the bad news, Telstra is offering the 9700 at the fairly steep price of 999.99 AUD or 917 USD. Telstra isn't totally unfeeling though, as they have included an option to finance the device over the length of the contract. Still not a great option as the monthly hit is over $40. 3 Cara Mem-BackUp dan Mengembalikan Data Penting Dalam Windows XP

Ada beberapa area penting dari data sistem yang dapat menyebabkan masalah serius untuk sebuah komputer ketika mereka terkorupsi. Untuk kasus seperti ini, sangat penting untuk memiliki cadangan untuk semus file atau sebuah cara untuk kembali ke keadaan sebelumnya.

Registry adalah bagian pusat dari sebuah data sistem dan salah satu yang sering menjadi sebab permasalahan. Berisikan semua informasi mengenai software, driver, plugins, update, dan lain-lain. Setelah ratusan perubahan akibat dari penambahan software, dirubah atau dihapus, kerusakan dan kesalahan dalam pemasukan registry. Semua ini akan membuat komputer menjadi lambat atau bahkan menjadi tidak stabil.

Ada 3 cara untuk mencadangkan registry, dua diantaranya bersama dengan data sistem yang penting.

1. Mengekspor Registry Keys Tertentu

Jika anda akan membuat perubahan terhadap sebuah registry key tertentu, anda dapat mengekspor atau mengembalikan key ini.

Backup

Klik > Start > Run, ketik > regedit dan klik > OK. Registry editor akan terbuka

Pilih key yang anda ingin cadangkan, klik kanan untuk membuka menu dan klik > Export.

Masukkan sebuah nama untuk file REG dan simpan dalam sebuah tempat yang aman. Dengan cara yang sama anda dapat mengekspor sebuah cabang registry atau secara keseluruhan.
Restore

Untuk mengembalikan, cukup klik dua kali pada file REG dan akan secara otomatis mengganti registry yang ada.

2. Mencadangkan Keadaan Sistem

Windows XP Pro dan versi lainnya memiliki sebuah fitur backup internal, di mana dapat digunakan untuk mencadangkan data sistem yang penting, termasuk file Boot, database COM+ class registration, dan registry.

Backup

Klik > Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Backup Option.

Backup or Restore Wizard akan terbuka. Klik dan ganti menjadi > Advanced Mode dan buka > Backup.

Pilih file yang anda ingin cadangkan, dalam kasus ini > System State, di mana dapat ditemukan di bawah > My Computer.

Pastikan sebuah jalur menunjukkan di bawah > Backup media or file name. Jika bukan ini kasusnya, klik > Browse... dan pilih tujuannya. Anda dapat juga mengganti nama file yang dicadangkan. Lalu klik > Start Backup.

Sebuah layar akan menunjukkan data yang dicadangkan akan muncul. Ubah deskripsi backup dan buat perubahan lebih lanjut. Lalu klik > Start sekali lagi. Proses memakan waktu masksimum 5 menit.

Restore

Untuk mengembalikan sebuah cadangan keadaan sistem, buka Backup or Restore Wizard dalam Advanced Mode seperti dijelaskan di atas.

Ubah menjadi > Restore anda Manage Media. Backup sebelumnya akan ditampilkan. Pilih satu yang ingin dikembalikan dan klik > Restore Backup.




3. System Restore Point

Ketika anda membuat sebuah point pengembalian sistem, beberapa file akan tersimpan, termasuk file dalam folder Windows File Protection (Dllcache), local user profile, COM+ dan database WMI, IIS metabase, semua file yang dimonitor karena file tambahan dan regisrty-nya.

Dengan sebuah titik pengembalian sistem, anda dapat mengembalikan menjadi keadaan sebelumnya, Ini dapat membantu jika perubahan dalam registry, driver baru atau program baru menyebabkan kerusakkan. Dokumen pribadi, seperti browser bookmarks, e-mail atau foto tidak akan terpengaruh.

Backup <
br>Untuk membuat sebuah titik pengembalian sistem secara manual, klik > Start > Run, ketik > %SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe dan klik OK untuk menjalankan.

Pada layar yang muncul, pilih > Create a restore point dan klik > Next. Pada halaman berikut masukkan sebuah nama untuk titik ini dan klik > Create.

Untuk mengembalikan pengaturan komputer dan sebuah registry sebelumnya, buka System Restore seperti dijelaskan di atas, pilih >Restore my computer to an earlier time dan klik > Next.

Pada halaman berikut, pilih sebuah titik pengembalian sistem terbaru dari kalender dan klik > Next.




Halaman Confirm Restore Point Selection akan menampilkan titik pengembalian yang anda pilih. Klik > Next untuk melanjutkan. Komputer anda akan mulai mengembalikan pengaturan Windows XP sebelumnya dan reboot.

BES 5.0 Service Pack 1 coming next month!

Berry review has put up that one of their ninjas sent them a link to a document stating BES 5.0 SP1 will be released next month. While they dont have a solid date yet they do have some nice info on what it will include. One of the big ones is going to be that it adds open office file support. Here is a list of a few of the things added:

* Open Document Format (ODF) Support – Support for .odp files and .ods files on BlackBerry devices. These are OpenOffice format files for wordprocessing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
* VMware Certification
* BlackBerry Browser device dashboard – Mobile friendly
* Support for Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008
* Support for Windows® Internet Explorer® version 8
* Support for importing Wi-Fi® profiles and VPN profiles from a .csv file

This should come as good news for all our BES users.

It’s been a while since Salomondrin leaked some unreleased device information but they’re back with some pictures and a video of the unreleased 3G BlackBerry Pearl 9100, aka the Stratus/Striker!

Seesmic Releases Twitter Application For BlackBerry!!!

I’ve been a big fan of Seesmic Desktop for quite some time now and have been wondering when and if they planned on releasing a Seesmic application for BlackBerry smartphones. @BRSDiddy just brought it to my attention that they have just released one!

Features:

* All your timelines
Seesmic for BlackBerry groups all your Twitter timelines into one simple application. Whether you want to scroll through your friends timeline, check on a saved search, view a list or want to find a private conversation with a friend, everything is one click away from the main menu.
* Saved search and list support
Searches and lists saved on your Twitter account are automatically imported and made available inside the BlackBerry application – a first for a Twitter application the BlackBerry.
* URL Shortening
We integrated the same URL shortening capability than in our popular Desktop client. Just type a URL, press the shortening button and we’ll transform your long URL into a really small one so you have more space for your tweets.
* Background Notifications
While it is running in the background, Seesmic for BlackBerry will alert you to received Direct Messages and @Replies that require your attention. This is done using the familiar system-wide icon notification bar that alerts you to new mail, sms messages and voicemails.

According to the Seesmic download page there are two versions available. A beta v1.0 for BlackBerry devices running OS 4.6 and higher, and an alpha v1.0b for the Tour 9630 and Storm 9500/9530/9520/9550. Right now there is no support for devices running OS 4.5 and lower.

Since these applications are beta and alpha I would recommend first making a backup before installing them. Also keep in mind that since these are beta and alpha versions they might not be perfect just yet so if you have feedback or need help email Seesmic at support@seesmic.com.

How To: Remove And Replace The BlackBerry Bold 9700 Battery Door (Video)

Since I posted the BlackBerry Bold 9700 unboxing video many of you sent me some emails about problems with the battery door. I’ll admit at first it was a bit weird to deal with but once you know how to do it, it couldn’t be easier.

I’ve put together a quick video showing how to easily remove and replace the Bold 9700 battery door in a few ways. Check it out above and let me know if it helped you in the comments.

The Facebook application for BlackBerry smartphones has been updated to version 1.7.0.22. There’s no changelog and I haven’t noticed anything new or different yet so if you find something let me know in the comments!

Colorware Now Offering "Parts Only" For The BlackBerry Curve 8900

ColorWare dropped us an email last night (sorry for getting this up so slow) letting us know about the availability of "Parts Only" ordering for the BlackBerry Curve 8900. This is a great service for those not wanting to have to send in their device to ColorWare and be without a BlackBerry until the order has been fufilled. Prices are still a little up there for some users, starting at $159 for the parts only option but for those who want true customization ColorWare is the way to go. Verizon Wireless Official 4.7.1.61 for the 9630!

Verizon has officially released an update for the 9630 BlackBerry Tour. While not 5.0, 4.7.1.61 includes several maintenance fixes hopefully adding even more stability to an already fantastic device. The update is available through both Desktop Manager and the Verizon/Smith Micro website.

Quick Pull Beta 2 Released for 5.0 OS

That's right Steelthorn has released the Beta 2 Version for Quick Pull Pro and the Free version. Checkout the site or follow the OTA downloads.

You must meet the following requirements to use QuickPull on OS 5:

T-Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9700 Unboxing Video!

Well it's a little funny/silly to see carriers still releasing official device software not is not OS 5.0 know just how close it is to being official. Really makes you wonder what is going on behind the closed doors at a carrier in regards to OS testing. Never the less, AT&T has officially released OS 4.6.1.315 for the 8900. We have already seen numerous 5.0 leaks for the 8900 which is why this is kind of silly.

Also today, Vodafone UK has released 4.5.0.180 for the 8100 and 8110. These releases aren't as silly since OS 5.0 is not coming to either of these devices. So the new release is absolutely welcomed for those using the 8100 and 8110.

Verizon BlackBerry Curve 8530 Release Date Approaching!

We've seen that Verizon is planning on pushing the BlackBerry Curve 8530 out the door on November 20th according to the press release they put out a little while back now. The pricing for the BlackBerry Curve 8530 will be set at $99 after the $100 MIR and the above picture highlights some of the devices best features.

We've had the chance to go hands on with the BlackBerry Curve 8530 already in our review so be sure to give that a look before you decide on picking up the second BlackBerry device on Verizon to have WiFi. As an entry level device the BlackBerry Curve 8530 is a great introduction to the BlackBerry world and with Verizon offering it with 3G speeds it's even more solid then that of it's GSM version brother, the BlackBerry Curve 8520.
